Bloomington Girls Hockey off-season clinics
6U/8U/10U
Pond hockey – Pond hockey is offered 6 – 8 Sunday afternoon/evenings on Rink 3 from June – August. Rink 3 net dividers allow for grouping girls according to age/ability so that experience is positive yet challenging for all girls.
Fall clinic – A fall clinic 4 – 6 sessions is offered in Sept/Oct to get girls back on their skates, make sure equipment still fits, and prepare for evaluations.
Intro to Hockey – In conjunction with KHBC and JHBC the Bloomington Girls Hockey offers Intro to Hockey for girls ages 10 and under who would like to try hockey. This is usually held after registration but before evaluations in Oct.
10U/12U/14U
HS clinics – High School coaches offer a hockey clinic for June – August. Girls entering grades 7 – 12 may participate in the HS clinics offered through Jefferson or Kennedy HS hockey regardless of having played or intent to play for HS or youth program.
Summer clinic – Summer clinics jointly run by our High School coaches and youth coaches. This clinic usually is 8 - 16 sessions offered in August/Sept. (Girls in grades 7 – 12 who have NOT played HS may register for the fall 12U/14U clinic.)
Captain’s practices – Girls entering grades 7 – 12 may attend captain’s practices regardless if they plan to tryout for HS or for 12U/14U teams. See Jefferson or Kennedy Girls HS web sites for details.
Girls may participate in boys clinics which are offered through both KHBC and JHBC boys traveling programs to compliment their off season training and should refer to their respective web sites for more information.

Bloomington Girls Hockey keeps clinics fees as low as possible knowing that it is not possible to attend all clinic sessions; therefore there is no discounts or reductions for clinics other than special pricing for Bloomington goalies. Any profit earned on clinics goes directly in to the Bloomington Girl’s Hockey account and is added with other fund-raising funds.
Private (profit earning) companies offer summer leagues and independent hockey clinics which Bloomington Girls Hockey does not advertise. Some of these leagues may involve try outs which does not guarantee a spot on their team.
