Jefferson Families -
This week, the Minnesota Wild just sent out the press release below regarding the Little Wild program. Jefferson Hockey has once again partnered with the Minnesota Wild to purchased ice and host this program.
Registration will open on Tuesday, May 23 at 10:00 AM.
As in past years, we expect locations to fill up quickly. This program has done remarkable things to grow the game (over 18,000 players in Minnesota this year!). We need your help to get the word out to interested families. Please encourage them to sign up as soon as possible once registration opens.
Keep in mind that the program is available to 5 – 8 year old players. Players must be new to hockey. Any child who has played organized hockey in the past is NOT eligible (Kids in Learn to Skate programs would be eligible).
Thank you for your support. If you have questions please contact Stephanie Cossette at email@example.com.

Heart Screening Registrations
PraeVeni SBC (www.youthheartcheck.com) is making its state-of-the-art preventative heart screening available to ensure the wellness of our players. They are offering a reduced cost of $79 and encourage you to use the link below if you would like to have your child participate in a heart screening.
3% of kids have an undiagnosed heart abnormality and sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is the #1 cause of death for student athletes. Heart disease is typically symptom-free and characterized by the slow emergence of disease features. Undetected heart disease can silently evolve into greater health problems, including sudden cardiac death. PraeVeni’s heart screening can detect the silent and emerging disease features long before they become dangerous.
PraeVeni administers a Focused Echocardiographic Screening Test (FEST)™ for young participants (ages 5 – 20) at the PraeVeni Center near Shady Oak Road and Hwy 212 in Eden Prairie. The 15-minute screening uses an echocardiogram (ultrasound for the heart) to affirm the NORMAL state of critical heart features known to be associated with SCA and which don’t show up during a regular checkup or sports physical. To date, over 1,000 young athletes have been screened in the west metro and 20 seemingly healthy participants have been found to have previously undiscovered heart problems.
Feel free to register them for a preventative heart screening appointment by visiting www.YouthHeartCheck.com and selecting “Schedule Appointment” at the top of the page.
Save $20 off each $99 preventative heart screening by redeeming the coupon code BAHA79 on the scheduling page… register early as available times are expected to fill quickly!

|Bloomington Ice Garden Improvement Suggestions|
|The purpose of this survey is to document and prioritize a list of suggested improvements for the city of Bloomington to consider making to the Bloomington Ice Garden. It has been suggested to BAHA, as the main tenants and users of the facility, that we should compile this list to share with the city of Bloomington. We appreciate any feedback you can give to help guide their decision making process.|
Thanks to everyone that voted for BIG for Kraft Hockeyville USA. Unfortunately, we came up short in the final round but 2nd Place nets $75,000 for rink improvements for BIG.
